Anyone actively engaged with CoC activities is considered a member of the CoC. There are multiple ways to become engaged with the CoC community:
Join the Mailing List: You will receive announcements about upcoming CoC events or other news. To register for the mailing list, please click here.
Attend a CoC Community Meeting: Twice a year the CoC hosts a General Community Meeting where members and the public discuss the latest in CoC plans. Community Meetings will be announced via the mailing list. For information about upcoming community meetings check the CoC Calendar page.
Attend a CoC Committee Meeting: Committees of the CoC host meetings online, which are open to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to join in the discussions during the call, and/or to provide public comment in advance of the meeting. The upcoming committee meeting schedule is posted on our EveryOne Home Calendar (click here). For more information about each of the committees and what they are responsible for, please see the Committees page.
Volunteer for the PIT Count: Each January the CoC conducts a count of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community. In odd years this count is of sheltered individuals. In even years we count both sheltered and unsheltered. This count needs the support of hundreds of volunteers to survey unsheltered community members. For the latest information on upcoming PIT activities, go to the PIT Planning Team page.
Volunteer as a Seated Committee Member: If you have time for a deeper commitment to CoC work, consider applying to become a seated committee member. We recruit twice a year for open seats; you can subscribe to our Newsletter for announcements about our application process.
These members serve as voting members of the committee. Voting members are expected to complete an onboarding training and must commit to attend a minimum number of meetings each year. For more information about the various committees, check out the Committees page.
